Matt C. gave his cell phone to his mom and dad not realizing there were certain "dating" website shortcuts there. I guess saying "we met at the library" won't work any more...

Andy: Well, I suppose if he has a bookcase in the living room, and he's on the couch....And there is no talking... You *could* call it a library.
Matt C.: it is a fact that i hate it when they talk.
Andy: Two facts of life:
1) There's no crying in baseball
2) There's no talking....in the library.
Matt C: occasionally there is crying "in the library" though that drives an immediate closure of the branch.
Andy M: It depends on... what book you're reading.... Some times if you are reading a book aggressively enough, it ends in crying. Its not ideal, but it happens.
Matt C: I like to read my books aggressively, laying on the bed, or the couch, sometimes the floor or kitchen table. occasionally I drop the book while reading against the wall, or toss the book around which causes the cover to be bruised or bent. (though most of my books think that if it isnt rough it isnt fun). the only real problem is when the bindings tear and then the book is ruined for the next reader.
Andy: Oh, I am totally the same way. There is something incredibly satisfying about reading a new book too. When you get a brand new book, and get to crack open the binding for the first time.... oh that's fun. Although its been years since I read a new book. Ever since I got my Kindle, I only get electronic books.
Matt C: A book is never good the first time it is read. You need to train it and such. In general, whether i am cutting the pages or someone else has read it before hand I like to read a book a few times, i feel that it gets better after every read... though you would know that.
Andy: Ken reminds me that there is no eating or drinking in the library. But I don't think they really enforce that rule as long as you are being an adult about it and not being too messy.
Thomas: I like to read a few different books at once. Some books are quick reads, so it helps keep me occupied for a longer period of time.
Andy: Sometimes the first time a book is read is when things end in tears. Especially if you read it aggressively. But if the book is really into being read, it can be quite the experience. Before I got my Kindle, when I lived in 'burbs, i found two brand-new books in the Melrose library that were quite excellent.
Matt C: Is it true that when you get a kendle you can read 100000's of stories on the same book?
Andy: It's true. You carry one book around with you all the time... you take it everywhere with you. And no matter what you're in the mood for, there is something you can read on your Kindle.
Russel: Your love for books is truly inspiring. So much so I am in the process of organizing an impromptu group of similar enthusiasts for a book club!
Andy: Matt, how many book clubs are you a part of? It must be hard to keep up.
Matt C: I have never actually been part of a book club, though I have read books with friends.
Russell: Oh book clubs are fun. You can really get to the 'bottom' of the issue that way.
